Leaving in the morning.
Well where can I start, we arieved after a long drive and 3 previous superb Chateau'S. We were shown to our room which on first view seemed ok, then advised that we could help ourselves to the mini bar, 1 tiny tin of orange juice (2 days off its sell by date) at no point were we offered any type of drink or food, even had to use the glasses from the bathroom to drink the wine we fortunately took with us. The worst nights sleep I think I have had for many years the bed / sheets and pillows all smelled very badly of mould as though no one had been in the room for years. Had to have all the windows open to lessen the mouldy smell. There were cobwebs and dead flies all over the room. I could go on but dont have enough space to write. If you are seeking a romantic retreat avoid the Chateau De Bois Glaume (gloom) at all costs very very expensive for a mouldy smelling bed.

I enjoyed elegant and fairly quiet room here.
The location was beautiful and good, so close to the lovely pond as well as the beautiful lake. My room included a mini bar fridge, central heating, and a work desk. The staff was friendly and gave some great recommendations

Ideally situated off the Rennes ring-road. Interesting 'old French' decor.
WiFi wasn't working.

First impressions were of a rather tired looking Chateau, but on going to the the bedroom up a lovely old staircase it became obvious that this place had a good deal of character. The suite in which we stayed was enormous and the furnishings very comfortable. The bathroom was also huge and modern. We would definitely stay again.

The room I stayed in had a lovely beige decor and a bed with a veil, giving it a romantic and cozy feel. I loved waking up to the view of the chateau's terrace from my window. It was like a dream come true!
Personally, I wasn't a fan of the antique furniture in the period-style rooms. But hey, that's just me!

our recent stay in Poligne exceeded our expectations. Cycling through the beautiful countryside, we stumbled upon a charming chateau. It felt like a home away from home, with spacious rooms, a serene lake, and even a hot tub. Truly a hidden gem in the French countryside.
Limited toiletries and no hairdryer.
